“Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.” : Abraham Lincoln 16th US President
I believe that he not only said this, but lived his life by this philosophy. He did not wait for things to happen but thoughtfully chose what he wanted the future to be and worked relentlessly to make it happen. I faintly remember that his story was part of our curriculum in middle school in which we read that he saw himself as being a President of the United States from early childhood. The story outlines how he used to practice public speaking on his father’s farm gathering the labors as audience to prepare for the speeches he will have to deliver later on. Somehow, this story struck to my thoughts like a guiding light as teenager boy. From class 11th, when I heard the first time about computers and their power, I wanted to be a programmer. I started to learn computer programming within a year’s time after hearing that story and used to fantasize solving big problems through computer programs. What is your mantra, do you wait for things to happen or rely on others to decide for you, or, you show courage to charter your own path? Are you ready to take charge of growth & more importantly your life now? Better late than never!!
